State Representative Bob Peterson of Sabina voted this week in favor of House Concurrent Resolution 21, which commemorates the 250th anniversary of the United States Marine Corps.

“Today, we honor 250 years of the legacy of every Marine, past and present, who has answered the call to serve with honor, bravery, and sacrifice,” said Rep. Peterson.

The resolution includes the statement: “That we, the members of the 136th General Assembly of the State of Ohio, in adopting this resolution, recognize the 250th anniversary of the United States Marine Corps.”

The resolution also acknowledges the Marine Corps’ motto, “Semper Fidelis,” or “Always Faithful,” and highlights the presence of nearly 38,000 Marines deployed globally each day, emphasizing the Corps’ ongoing role as international first responders.
