Franklin home prices rise in the first half of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2020 in Franklin rose by $6,000 while total sales decreased by 22.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2020, there were 178 homes sold, with a median sale price of $135,000 - a 4.7% increase over the $129,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 231 homes sold in Franklin in the first half of 2019.

The median sales tax in Franklin for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $1,890, approximately 1.4% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2020.
