Cindy Abrams mourns passing of former Ohio House Speaker Jo Ann Davidson

State Representative Cindy Abrams has expressed her sorrow over the death of Jo Ann Davidson, former Speaker of the Ohio House. In a statement, Abrams acknowledged Davidson's role as a mentor and friend. "I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Speaker Jo Ann Davidson. Speaker Davidson was a dear mentor and friend to me," said Abrams.

She highlighted how Davidson empowered many women, including herself, in public service. "As she did with so many other women, she empowered me to use my voice as I continue to serve my local community and state," Abrams added.

Abrams praised Davidson for her leadership qualities. "I learned so much from Speaker Davidson. She led by example, carrying herself with compassion, grace, and strength," she noted.

In conclusion, Abrams offered condolences to those close to Davidson: "I extend my sincere condolences to Speaker Davidson’s family and friends."
