State Senator Nathan Manning | The Ohio Senate
State Senator Nathan Manning was honored with the Visionary Voice Award by the Ohio Alliance to End Sexual Violence during their Annual Advocacy Day at the statehouse. Manning, a Republican from North Ridgeville, was acknowledged for his role in spearheading Senate Bill 100 and Senate Bill 237, both of which were passed in the 135th General Assembly.
"Throughout my time in the General Assembly, working on legislation that protects victims of sexual or domestic violence has been a challenging yet incredibly important goal of mine," stated Manning. "I am honored to have received this award, and would like to thank my Joint Sponsors, Leader Antonio and Senator Gavarone, for their stewardship and for helping get these important pieces of legislation across the finish line."
The Visionary Voice Award is bestowed annually to individuals who demonstrate significant effort towards ending sexual violence. The theme for this year's award was "Voices of Change," recognizing those who lead and advocate for survivors in the state. "Senator Manning is an outstanding visionary voice in Ohio's legislature, and we thank him for his leadership and partnership to address the needs of sexual assault survivors and the services that support them," said Emily Gemar, OAESV’s Director of Public Policy.
