A new training center aimed at preparing workers for careers in energy and advanced manufacturing has broken ground in Piketon, Ohio. State Representative Bob Peterson (R-Sabrina) announced the start of construction on the Appalachian Career Empowerment (ACE) Training Center, describing it as a significant investment in workforce development for the region.
“Ohio’s continued growth depends on the students that will attend ACE and will build Ohio’s future,” said Rep. Peterson. “I am excited to provide opportunities for these hard-working young men and women to develop their skills.”
The ACE Training Center is expected to act as a central location for workforce development efforts in Appalachian Ohio. The facility will offer hands-on training and career pathways not only for students but also for job seekers and current workers interested in updating their skills for roles that are in high demand.
According to officials, this project represents a key step toward revitalizing the local economy by helping equip the workforce with skills needed for future opportunities.
