Warren-Trumbull County Public Library issued the following announcement on January 25.
Congratulations to the American Library Association’s 2022 Youth Media Award winners! The annual awards were announced yesterday for the top books, digital media, video and audio books for children and young adults.
Winner of the 2022 Newbery Medal for the most outstanding contribution to children’s literature was “The Last Cuentista,” by Donna Barba Higuera.
“Watercress,” illustrated by Jason Chin and written by Andrea Wang, is the 2022 Caldecott Medal winner for the most distinguished American picture book for children.
