FOIA Request to Warren County Regarding Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Logs on October 7, 2024.
As part of our commitment to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Warren-Clinton News have submitted a request for records under the Ohio Open Records Law, §149.43 et seq. Our request specifically pertains to FOIA logs sent to Warren County from January 1, 2024, until October 7, 2024.
The requested information includes the following fields: Requester Name, Requester Organization, Request Content, Request Date, Request Complete Date, and FOIA Status.
As a media organization involved in gathering and reporting news to the public, access to public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. These include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. Given our role in disseminating information, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as a media professional.
We await a response from Warren County officials regarding this request.
