State Senator Nathan Manning has announced the approval of $250,000 in funding by the Ohio Controlling Board. This financial support is allocated for the cleanup of a former gas station located in North Ridgeville.
The site, situated on Center Ridge Road, will undergo soil and groundwater remediation with these funds. The project aims to transform the area into a community hub for events such as festivals and farmers markets once the cleanup is complete.
"This grant is welcome news for us in North Ridgeville," said Manning. "I look forward to the opportunities this space will provide for all of neighbors once the project is complete."
The funding originates from the Abandoned Gas Station Cleanup Grant administered by the Ohio Department of Development.
