Funding allocated for Scioto County demolition projects

State Rep. Adam Mathews | The Ohio House of Representatives

Scioto County has been allocated $500,000 for demolition projects under the Building Demolition and Site Revitalization Program. The announcement was made by State Representative Justin Pizzulli (R-Scioto County). This funding will be used to demolish 44 vacant and dilapidated sites in the county.

Pizzulli expressed gratitude for the funding, stating, "I am grateful for this funding, which will increase the wellbeing of our communities and start the revitalization process for each of these sites."

The program, administered by the Ohio Department of Development, distributed a total of $33.2 million to demolish 1,091 sites across 65 counties.
